Vikings Lose to Jackson, Play Glendale at 4:00pm

In the Vikings’ second match of the KHS Shootout, they lost to Jackson 0-2. Parkview played a defensively minded game, moving Mckenzi Payton to sweeper, and playing freshmen Aubrey Durst and Amy Greene at outside back positions. The defense gave up a goal early, but after one misplay the Vikings gave up only a couple scoring opportunities for the rest of the match.

Parkview again earned some scoring chances of their own, as Shelby Stewart continues to draw double and triple teams, allowing her to play great balls across the middle to Molly Robb, and Melanie Allen. The Vikings had two or three great scoring opportunities, against Jackson’s four or five, but possession was close to even with Jackson winning that battle about 60-40.

Jackson is undefeated on the season, and beat Glendale 3-1 on Friday. They lead the tournament in their division.
