The Lady Vikings beat Greenwood on Friday night, winning the match 4-1. According to Coach Nurnberg, this 6-0 record is the best start a Parkview Ladys’ team has had during his tenure, and possible ever.
Senior Jessica Maerz’s two long-range shots in the second half quelled a solid first-half performance from the Greenwood Bluejays. Parkview got first-half goals from junior Molly Robb and senior Shelby Stewart, but still found themselves chasing the ball at times due to effective ball movement through the Greenwood midfield. Greenwood senior Maddy Esther capitalized at the end of the first half, beating a Parkview defender at the top of the box and slotting her shot into the right side netting.
