The Varsity boys picked up their 14th win of th season with a 3-0 victory over the Neosho Wildcats. The Vikings dominated all aspects of the game in the first half, getting a goal scoring opportunity in the first 30 seconds due to some great ball movement. Parkview was able to spread the ball wide as Neosho often defended with seven men inside the eighteen, but the Vikings struggled to get many real goal scoring opportunities until Tim Griffin earned his 28th goal of the season by hammering a shot around the keeper midway through the first half. In th second half Neosho came out with high energy and some quality offensive buildup, but the Vikings were able to finish better than they did the first half, getting a goal from Matt Medley that made the score 2-0. On the final goal of the match, Tim Griffin beat his defender on the left side of the penalty area before passing the ball across the six and around the keeper for Rudy Fotsch to knock home for his third goal in two games. The Vikings are now 14-5 on the season.

The Vikings JV also won their match 3-0. The first goal of the match came in the first half when Chris Lawson, playing outside mid, received the ball and burned one defender before passing to striker Daniel Vansant. Vansant quickly moved the ball up to Jordan Houseman, who beat the keeper by slotting a shot into the lower corner. After a 1-0 halftime lead the Vikings came out of the gate quickly when Tanner Bennett found Brian Otradovec off the halftime restart. Otradovec took a first touch that put him by a defender before he buried the shot for a 2-0 lead. The final goal came from Jordan Houseman as well, and the defense made keeper Evin Barber’s job a bit easier than usual in the shutout. The win takes the PHS JV to 7-5-3.
