On a wet field and with an Ozark Conference win on the line, the Parkview Vikings beat the West Plains Zizzers 5-0. This win takes the Vikings to 10-4 on the season. The scoring started off with Jared Moore playing a ball in to Tim Griffin, who was able to beat the keeper for the go-ahead goal. The Vikings controlled possession and put 18 shots on frame, while limiting PHS keeper Rudy Fotsch’s saves to two (Fotsch was credited with his second shutout). The scoring ended with Tanner Bennett getting his first career varsity goal thanks to a nice through-ball played by Justin Hansen, which Bennett was able to poke by the on-coming keeper.

The first goal of the match was scored by Jordan Houseman. Houseman and Tanner Bennett combined for a couple passes in a row inside the penalty area before Houseman pulled the trigger for his second JV goal of the season. Bennett crossed the ball from the right side beautifully to an oncoming Brian Otradovec, who chested the ball on the far post run into the goal. The goal was Otradovec’s team leading 6th goal of the season. Evin Barber got the shutout, his 4th of the season.
