Tough Opening Night

On an incredibly warm night the JV lost 5-0 to Glendale. After allowing two goals in the opening few minutes, the boys settled down and held their own for 30 minutes. The JV gave up a third goal in the final minute before half time. The second half saw improved play on our side. We did allow two additional goals in the second period. A bright spot was Ben Haldiman in goal, who had 17 saves on 22 Glendale shots on goal.

The Varisty lost 7-0. Jonathan Malter had 9 saves in goal on 16 Glendale shots. The Varsity did create chances with 7 shots on Glendale’s goal and four corner kicks, but we did not find the back of the net. Maybe our best opportunity of the night came late in the first half when Derek Rosbrugh crossed a ball from the right side and Matt Medley hit a screamer that went just over the crossbar.
